Visas for Thailand

PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to submit your passport to the consulate. You will NOT have access to your passport until the visa process is finished by the consulate. Please plan accordingly. The consulate will not release your passport until the visa process is finished.

ATTENTION: Foreign consulates do not accept demands from travelers. They do not work around a traveler’s time-frame, and may request additional documents not listed in the general instructions at any given time and circumstance without notice.

Processing Time


STEP 1

Fill out your ONLINE forms and gather your required documents outlined below.

GATHER DOCUMENTS

Follow the instructions below. Pay close attention to the important notices!

STEP 2

Come to the office so we can review, sort, prepare your documents, and take your photo.

COME IN TO THE OFFICE

If you already have your own passport-type photos, bring them with you. Otherwise we will take your photos.

STEP 3

Your visa application will be submitted to the foreign consulate the next business day.

SUBMIT APPLICATION

Should any additional requirements or demands from the consulate arise, we will communicate it to you immediately after we leave the consulate lobby.

STEP 4

We will collect your passport and visa from the consulate on the day scheduled by the consulate.

RECEIVE DOCUMENTS

Your visa & any other original documents will be at our office available for  pick up on the same day they are released by the consulate or shipped if requested.

Follow These Instructions to Obtain a Visa for Thailand

FORMS must be typed-in and signed by hand, but they CANNOT be hand-written

DO NOT ship your documents to Arista Offices without first communicating with us.

DO NOT ship your materials for 8AM delivery unless instructed to do so.

Visa Requirements

Up to a 30 Day Stay does NOT require a Visa.

A Stay Above 30 Days DOES require a Visa. Please follow these instructions….

  • Your passport MUST be valid for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS, counting from the day you leave Thailand.
  • Your passport MUST contain at least TWO blank, completely clear “VISAS” page (Amendments and Endorsement pages do not count).
  • Your passport MUST be signed and in good condition. The consulate staff may reject your passport if they find it to be in damaged condition, even if you don’t think that’s the case.

How to Fill Out Your Application Form

  • Be very thorough and careful when filling out your questions on the form.
  • PLEASE ENTER ALL YOUR NAMES EXACTLY AS THEY ACTUALLY APPEAR IN YOUR PASSPORT. Do NOT omit, abbreviate or add extra names or nicknames. Do NOT include titles and/or extra letters not contained in your passport. All added data that is not IDENTICAL to your legal documents will cause your process to be rejected.
  • Please SIGN the form to match the passport signature. All applicants over the age of 18 MUST sign their own application form.
Passport-type photograph: 2 (two).
  • A copy of the traveler’s recent bank statement reflecting at least $500 per person, $1,000 per family.
  • If the applicant does not have his/her own bank statement, please submit the Affidavit of Support with the bank statement of the person who supports the applicant.
  • If using Online Bank Statement, it must show the applicant’s name and balance.
  • Copy of airline ticket (confirmed onward ticket, showing flights into and out of Thailand. Either paper ticket or confirmed e-ticket is acceptable. Itinerary is NOT accepted. If applying for 2 entries, ticket must show 2 entries into Thailand.
  • If you have trouble printing your form or itinerary, you are welcome to email it as an attachment to us at info@aristavisa.com and we will be glad to print it for you at our office.

For citizens of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, N. Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, please note:

  • The consulate of Thailand may require approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand before they can issue the visa. This may require additional time (up to several weeks). Please allow enough time for processing.

Travelers will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 60 days at any time. The period begins on the date you arrive in Thailand.
  • Your passport MUST be valid for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS, counting from the day you leave Thailand.
  • Your passport MUST contain at least TWO blank, completely clear “VISAS” page (Amendments and Endorsement pages do not count).

  • Copy of airline ticket (confirmed onward ticket, showing flights into and out of Thailand. Either paper ticket or confirmed e-ticket is acceptable. Itinerary is NOT accepted. If applying for 2 entries, ticket must show 2 entries into Thailand.

A business letter from the sending company in the US. The letter should be printed on the company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of Thailand, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
  • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Thailand.
  • Specify the type and desired validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry business visa). For multiple entry requests, specify dates of at least two upcoming visits.
  • Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.

The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of Thailand, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
  • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Thailand.
